Day357 - early Christmas dinner
December 22nd 357/366 Ruby and I celebrated Christmas a few days early as we would be apart over Christmas. We had stockings and exchanged gifts in the morning then went out for a walk (great to clear the monster hangover I had from the bikers party the night before) then we headed home and made a lovely Christmas candlelit dinner. Happy Christmas x.

Just a random pic. I like it - I know, I know, a lot needs to be done yet... I'd actually like to start taking pics of human figures... I never really tried that. I lack a volounteer now ^__^.
Christmas Eve with the Family (148/365)
Christmas Eve, for as long as I can remember, has been spent with my Dad's side of the family. When his parents were living, we would go to their house and spend time with one another, eat dinner (either turkey with the fixins or lasagna) and unwrap gifts. My parents began holding Christmas Eve festivities at our house shortly after Pappy and Grandma passed away. It's a nice tradition and generally a fairly relaxing day -- depending on whether or not the Steelers are playing. ;o) There were some miscommunications this year, but we still had a nice day. This is the centerpiece on one of our tables. I love that Mom could go out and cut fresh pine and pick up fresh pine cones to go on the table. It was a nice touch. :o).

Christmas table (version 1)
This is our Christmas table and dining room! The reason this is version 1, is JJ prefers the green tablecloth (which will be version 2!), so I thought I'd use my choice in the lead up to Christmas (did you know my fave colour was red?!!) I decorated the large candles with ivy and bayleaves from the garden. This is the first time we've had a Christmas tree in our dining room (which incidently, I decorated, although it's hidden by the bokeh!!!!).
