Almond Tart Candles
Did you know paraffin candles are made from the sludge in the bottom of a barrel of oil which is bleached and textured with a chemical called acrolein, and burning one puts all the same horrible toxins and carcinogens (cancer causing agents) into the air in your home that burning diesel fuel in your home would? My tartlets are made with 100% soy wax. This is a healthier wax for your home and family. The candles are scented with pure essential oils which burn cleaner than do fragrance oils. Essential oils also provide a subtler scent which eliminates irritation due to sensitivity or allergies. Tartlet candles come in 1/2 pound, single scent boxes. Individual tarts are smaller than those found in other places. This allows for easy mixing to create your own scents! Most tarts you'll buy in the store or from other crafters are made from paraffin which can be toxic, and will cost the same amount for only 4 oz. of wax!.
Do Not Pull Out By Ring
Oops! I noticed this right after I pulled the candle lantern out by the ring. It's actually a well-designed, informative tag ... a polite little warning. Of course, you can't see it until you pull the the candle lantern out by the ring, but it was a nice try. Thanks, Pottery Barn ... Fortunately, nothing broke, snapped off or exploded as a result of my missing this important piece of information. Which is a good thing, because I'm actually kind of fond of this candle lantern. It's Pottery Barn's "Park Hill Windowpane Lantern" ... size small or "petit". Petite?!?! It's 16 inches high. I'm afraid to ask how tall the large one is. Oh well, I don't have to worry about it. The small one is perfect for my little house. I removed the tags, added a flameless candle, turned it on with the remote control (cool!) and sat back to bask in the glow of the "candle" ... which looks like it's about to go completely out about every four seconds.
