Victorian Christmas
On Sunday, I hopped down the valley to visit the annual Victorian Christmas exhibit at the O'Dell House Museum in Annapolis Royal. I don't think I've ever seen a room with so much stuff . This is an annual holiday tradition at the museum that features several rooms decked out in classic Victorian style, complimented by re-enactors in period dress. It presented a good opportunity to practice some things I'm not particularly accustomed to: interior shots, long exposures, even tripod shooting — many of you know my irrational and impatient hatred for tripods. Anyway, I don't think I learned anything new per se, but it was definitely a very good opportunity to practice. I got a little preoccupied with trying to secure the technical elements of the shot, between the tripod, focus, remote shutter release, shutter speed, etc., and in the process some of my compositions ended up being.
