Another Finnish tradition. It's customary to go to the cemetary on Christmas Eve and take candles to your loved ones' graves. If you are out of town or are unable to visit the graves for any reason, there is a communal site where you can leave your rememberance candles. {41/365} During my venture in the cemetary today I walked part of the military burial area and noticed a lot of graves had these candles on top of them and stil lit; I couldn't figure out why they were there or who put them there, but still I found the scene to be very touching..
