votives candles
I got the day off for MLK Day today and found myself home alone for the first time in a long time. My wife had to work, our oldest two daughers headed back to college yesterday, and our youngest two were in Florida playing with our church's youth bell choir. So I headed to Wal-Mart where I printed a photo and found a nice frame for it for only $2. Then I bought these twelve votives for 33 cents each for a Valentines Day photo idea along with a couple of packs of neon colored straws for some cheap photo props. I am so easily, and cheaply, entertained! : - )

I saw this über-fun/instant fave photo by Jan and thought I wanted to try it. And I did--just the lazy version :] I think I got tired after the third try so this is the best I can come up with :D Candles play a part in my Christmases as a child; mainly because I went to a Catholic school in my primary/secondary years and we were taught about Advent. And right before Chrstmas break, we'd always have to draw or make wreaths .lol 10/25
