Last night my girl and I had a lovely dinner in friends' new house. We sat under a big tree in the garden til it got dark and it was time to lit up the candles hanging everywhere in the tree :) It was so cosy and warm outside. In the meantime my girl's band practised and we talked about our travel to Madrid next week. I made a Rolleiflex version of this shot, but the ISO value on my light meter was wrong! This digital version should make up for it... Hope you're all enjoying the warm weather!

During my trip to three Italian Cities (as part of a larger European vacation), I ducked into a Roman Catholic Church in the city of Rome. I took this photograph using my (then) new 50mm f/1.8 lens. Slight edit here for color (and the one blue candle in a sea of red illumination was as viewed in the original).
