blue beeswax candlesYay! I got my goodies today. I was admiring someone else's little sock blocker, wondering where I could get one, and then I got it from the swap myself. I think a sock this size won't be so intimidating. And, I wouldn't have to worry about Second Sock Syndrome! Beutiful blue cotton yarn, handdyed green wool, beautiful glass stitch markers, and beeswax to make a candle. I was going on and on about honey today to my sister. Saying how I want to visit a local farm this summer. And how Chuck in Pushing Daisies had her own bees. And, yes. It smell wonderful.
halloween candleTonight we had our annual pumpkin carving and scary movie night, always so much fun! These were the results...well, that and full stomachs and fear of the dark from old school horror movies! This was taken with my dad's incredible new Nikon D80 DSLR...I am so vry, VERY jealous of him buying it! It was like I had died and gone to a photographic paradise when taking a few photos with the thing! So, whose is whose? Well, from left to right you have my younger brother Adam's, my younger sister Danielle's, my dad Tom's, and then mine on the far left. We were all fairly impressed with the results! This one is DEFINITELY BEST VIEWED LARGE, as the resolution is so high and yet so crystal clear!
