I repaired it and applied several coats of varnish to the top and my mother made the skirt for the desk. This is by far my favorite mini-makeover. When we finished the desk I felt like a kid on christmas morning when he sees all the presents under the tree. It looks so fancy. :) ok lets move on. :)

green lanternsThomas and I worked for nearly a week on transforming the house into a birthday wonderland for Rayne's 16th. We dropped a huge box with a comfy puma jumpsuit (something she'd been wanting) in it and a note with a clue attached that lead her to the school near our homes, where we kidknapped her and drove her (listening to a special cd comprised only of sweet 16 songs made by moi) to a secluded beach where we had breakfast and 16 balloons set up (all tied to rocks sitting in the sand). After breakfast, she sat on the beach making wishes on each balloon and letting it float off into the air above the ocean and shore (I have pics taken with my canon SLR, but they're not digital, but they're really amazing). We then whisked her to our house where we had the living room set up like a spa, the "Rayne Day Spa" we called it. Where she got a massage from moi and a mani/pedi from thomas (hehe)
green potteryA Cottage Christmas I love this candle with the flickering light. It was a gift from a dear friend. The pottery is also a fav, but due to the crack, I use it for display only. The little chippy red bench was a recent find at a local gift shop.
