Dinner by candlelight
Another late comer to Explore......Dec 27, 2007 #282 thanks again to you all who have commented on this photo...it is truely and honor and appricated :=)))))) you all are awesome !! After no electricity for 3 hours yesterday we ate our dinner with the light of this candle :=))) I have not done anything to this photo other than adding a frame... I must point out that I did not use a tripod..no flash...I guess just a steady hand.... I however tried to balance the camera on top of another candle about the same height to steady the shot...a few burrs of course..but I liked this one because of the flame angle and movement. Have a great Friday :=))) Thank you all in advance for your invites, faves awards and comments..It is so great appreciated....

Turning slowly in a New Year
I've being tagged .... ... A is for amore
Autumn is beyond a sliver of a doubt, my all-time favourite season. I adore everything about it from the magnificently golden sunlight to the distinct crunch of pumpkin, auburn, burgundy and rust tinged leaves under foot. I begin decorating for fall's arrival on the first of September each year and my festively autumnal pieces stay out until mid-November, when it becomes time to start decking the halls for Christmas. A few fall items always seem to weave their way into my everyday household attire, and this tangerine and chocolate hued candle (picked up I think for all of a $1.50 at a discount grocery store) is one such piece. Besides it's lovely colours, the reason this candle is on permanent display (well I suppose "permanent" until the day it gets used ;) ) is because of it's charming, old world looking brass toned charm, bedecked with a letter "a", which just ha.
