Vapour Trails
We all have a tenuous grip on the world. This is the smokey tendril of a snuffed out candle; it looks like it might feel like silk to the touch. Inspiration Inverted to negative in Photoshop and colours and curves were adjusted. Strobist 1 Nikon SB-600 on 1/2 power with cardboard snoot subject left and behind. {edit 20080327} Darn! I lost all the comments.

The little candle seller
The best time to enjoy the ghats is at dusk, when everyone gathers North of the city, leaving much of the other banks empty. There, not much of the daily activity remains. Just a few boats rocked by the waves, a goat munching on a rope, and a little candle seller. On the darkening waters of the Ganges, my lonely candle burned for a few minutes, then suddenly disappeared..

circle in square
Shot with Canon EOS 400D + Canon 50mm f/1.8 I didnt upload something the last days because I am in a kind of uncreative phase. I dont really like to go shooting and I am not having ideas neither. So I am currently looking through my archives and this is why I am pretty happy about this involuntary pause. There are many good shots on my HDD that are waiting to be processed and published. Now I am in the mood to do that. So here is the first one of a series of unknown length with shots that I did someday during the last year.
