Shot with Canon EOS 400D + Canon 50mm f/1.8 I didnt upload something the last days because I am in a kind of uncreative phase. I dont really like to go shooting and I am not having ideas neither. So I am currently looking through my archives and this is why I am pretty happy about this involuntary pause. There are many good shots on my HDD that are waiting to be processed and published. Now I am in the mood to do that. So here is the first one of a series of unknown length with shots that I did someday during the last year. Summer's End
The last of my candles and the last of the nice weather. Halloween is coming up and that usually ushers in the first snow. Then it's hibernation weather for me and a lot of other Canadians. I feel good that I got out and shot a few good frames this summer. Come October I will have had my camera for a year. I have learned a lot but there is still soooo much more to learn. Photography offers so many tangents one can venture off on. I would like to try portraiture if I can find a model. I would like to get Photoshop and learn the techniques that aren't available to me right now. I would like to learn how to use layers and apply textures. I would like to sit down and read some books on photography so I could learn the proper way of doing things. I would like to, I would like to, I would like to… We'll see if I actually get around to it. In the meantime I will continue to try to reinvent the wheel with my own style of techniques and play with my two monolights. As always, if.

Paper butterfly
These pretty little paper butterflies were designed by the bride's brother. They have the couple's initials and the wedding date cut out of them. They were scattered around the reception venue, perching on the tables and on flowers and hanging from the ceiling..
