In Oslo it never gets really dark, the sunset glides into the sunrise, giving us 4-5 blue hours, excellent light to work with. You just have to stay up a little late, grab your camera gear, drive 10 minutes, and you are in surroundings like this :)) I wanted to include fire in my usual landscape work, nice to have something new to concentrate on. It was impossible to arrange the lamp so it would be 100% straight, so I placed it leaning a little more to the left on purpose. Hope you like the result, because there's a lot more where this came from :)) <u.

Possessed strobist
A tribute to this photo and a statement on how possessing this strobist thing can be. Strobist info: Face and candle are illuminated by an SB-800 bounced from a white paper on the laptop screen. Shadow on wall is created by shooting an SB-24 on the floor through a cardboard cookie that resembles a horned deity. A hint of light is provided for the laptop cover by an SB-600. First two flashes are triggered by eBay triggers, last one by an optical trigger. See also setup shot ..
