Chestnuts... (5/5)
...roastin on an open fire. Although no snow here, it is getting colder. Time for some raosted chestnuts. For SLW: Reflection : there is not much of a reflection to be seen on the chestnuts or candle holder here, but enough to get you the impression of candles and to set the mood. And although the main light source is a window on right, it has still that warm color effect. I like the reflection of candle light in this one, but I'm not that satisfied with the overall composition. Maybe the front is a bit too crowdy and the photo is a bit two-parted, brown in front, green in back. But at last it was a fun shot to get that Christmas feeling into the photo. And I couldn't resist to do it, because in the back the "Christmas Song" was playing: Chestnuts roasting on an open fire....

Advent
The Advent wreath is a Christian tradition that symbolizes the passage of the four weeks of Advent. It is usually a horizontal evergreen wreath with four candles. On the First Sunday of Advent, the first candle is lit. An additional candle is lit during each subsequent week until, by the last week before Christmas, all four candles are lit. This Christmas decoration follows a slightly different approach, while retaining the evergreen look, the candles and Christmas ornaments. It is one of my wife’s creations. She always adds beautiful seasonal decorations to our house and this is one of the most beautiful I have seen so far. It went together with a nice walk in the woods to gather the seeds and the moss used in this arrangement. I’m posting this today as it is lit for the second Sunday of Advent. I wish you all a very happy Advent season. The ring or wheel of evergreens decora.
